Back to School

I've started back at Wake Tech. This semester, I'm taking Accounting, Business Math, Business Law, and Technology and Society. The schedule is pretty good. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, my first class is at 8 AM, and on Mondays and Wednesdays, my last class ends at 2:45 PM. I still have Fridays off, but I work at the paper on Fridays. The thing about that is, I like my job, especially compared to school, so it doesn't feel like work. And I get paid.

Dog Days

With a little more than a week left of Summer, I'm kind of nervous, as you might expect. And I'm not sure why. It's like this every year. I guess the feeling of dread from high school is still there. This could be part of it: I have three cousins who will be starting high school this year. I know they'll all do well academically, but it's high school. Everyone's always telling me not to be nervous, but that's like telling me not to breathe. I can't help but be nervous. Really.
