Boooooooooring.

The 20th season premiere of the Simpsons just aired. It was terrible. There were a few good jokes, but on the whole, they all fell flat. Homer using the taser for everything is just like him using the gun for everything 11 years ago. Remember that one? Even the couch gag was just plain awful. What happened? Someone wanna tell me what happened? Anybody?

20

I'm 20 years old, as of about 45 minutes ago (I was born at 11:02 PM). This year, I don't feel very different. Probably next year. But this is going to be an awkward year. I'm technically no longer a teen, but technically not yet a twenty-something. So, here it goes. Bear with me.

It's still bigotry to me.

After a gang-related fight earlier this summer, Triangle Town Center, a local mall, has banned anyone under the age of 18 from being there without their parents on Friday and Saturday nights after 5 p.m. Now that just plain sickens me. The mall manager has even admitted that most young people who come to the mall unsupervised behave appropriately, but they're still banning them all. I don't care who they're discriminating against, any discrimination at all is wrong. Very wrong. Even though I am over 18, I will NOT go to Triangle Town Center at all. Another mall in Durham, Northgate Mall, has done the same thing. They won't be hearing from me anymore, unless they change that policy. The same for Triangle Town.

Here's the News & Observer story.

Here's a website about another such mall in Roanoke, Virginia, and someone who shares my views speaking out against their policy.

I've been busy

It's not easy, keeping up with all my schoolwork, workwork, and all the other dumb things I gotta do. And nothing blog-able has happened in a while. I've got nothing to say, except my famous Simpsons reviews will start again in three weeks. In the meantime, here's a link to my review of this week's rerun.
