Forgot the link.

The address for my Mom's blog is

Stupid SUV's, think they can speed like maniacs, just 'cause they're Phat, Dope, Fly, and da bomb! Pardon the ranting, but I'm just annoyed. Some guy in a silver Durango went past me on US70, even though I was already going 60 in a 55 zone.
OK, with that off my chest, here's a summary of my past few days:

On Sunday, my family dragged (Well, not dragged) me to the North Carolina Zoo to look at a bunch of animals. It's not that I hate the zoo, it's just that the zoo doesn't even try to appeal to the common teenager. Whatever, It was OK, but If you go there, don't buy the souvenir squirting fans. They're $7.50 and you have to hold down the switch to get the fan to stay on.

Yesterday, I went to see Madagascar, and I really liked that movie. It's better than Shrek, IMO.

And today, I didn't do much. Just got up at 10, made some lunch at 2, and went to the store at 7.

OK, that's all I have for now. One last thing: visit my Mom's blog. She's got some interesting stuff to talk about.

Where Have I Been?

Sorry, I've been a bit lazy lately. Well, I'm back. Since the last time I posted:
*I've taken and passed my Biology and Physical Science exams at school, so I'm officially a rising senior.
*My car finally has a roof over its own. Upon being exiled from the garage, My 1995 Geo was a target for pine straw, leaves, raindrops, but luckily, no bird poop. Whatever, as some guys built a carport for it and it's ok now.

OK, so summer has started for me, I've got a lot of spare time, and all that stuff.

I can't think of anything that happened today that I want to mention here, so I'll talk about my hometown of Clayton, N.C.

I've lived here for almost 10 years, and Clayton has grown out of control since then. In 1995, there were just 6 fast food places, two major grocery stores, one pharmacy, and 5 schools. Now, there's 4 major grocery stores, 4 pharmacies, 11 fast food places, 8 schools, and one Wal-Mart Supercenter. The town has always been about a 20-minute drive from Raleigh, but some people here never go there. A lot of the people in this town are true "Hicks." I mean, they would apply to the stuff Jeff Foxworthy is famous for. In short, Clayton is quickly becoming a suburb, but needs to shake off the "Backwater town"status. Good luck with that, Y'all.

Interesting weekend. Went camping at Morrow Mountain State Park near Albemarle. My parents, especially my Dad, are crazy about camping. Me, I don't like it that much. While there, I got one of the worst nosebleeds of my life. I get a lot of those, some worse than others. Not much else to tell about that, so I'll just go on to tonight's reviews:

Malcolm In The Middle: Mrs. Tri-County
For a while, I thought Anne Robinson was playing that woman, Nina, but it wasn't. Also, it was nice to see everything work out for the Wilkersons in the end.

The Simpsons: Home Away From Homer (GABF15)
I knew Flanders would get fed up sometime. Kind of a thin plot, though. No matter, It was funny anyway. One side note: Flanders' Car is a Geo, which, acorrding to a 5th season episode, is really slow. I have a Geo myself, a 95 Prizm, and it accelerates just fine.

The Simpsons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Guest Star (GABF09)
This episode was delayed from airing on April 10, due to the death of Pope John Paul II, but It was worth the wait. Some loose ends were not tied up, but the Pop Culture stuff was hilarious as usual.

OK, that's all I have. Later much.

OK, so this morning, I woke up early and got ready for school faster than usual, so I had some time to kill. On the way to school, I went through the car wash, getting part of the pre-soak in my face when I forgot to roll up the danged window. OK, on to school. Relatively uneventful day, save for getting humiliated when my Biology teacher, Mr. Srinavasan, told everyone in class how well I danced at the prom: Not! Yeah, I don't dance much, but my date, according to Srinivasan, was good. So, right now, Lunch is ready. I can't stand the smell of the cafeteria at Clayton High, so I eat when I get home.

Tonight's episodes review.

Every Sunday night, I watch Malcolm in the Middle, then the Simpsons. I'll review them here.

Malcolm in the Middle: Buseys Take A Hostage
I liked seeing Francis again, and it was cool seeing Hal and Malcolm bonding. I love the way the special needs kids took on the condescending teachers. I know a few special needs kids at my school and they are grossly underestimated.

The Simpsons: A Star is Torn (GABF13)
It was nice to see a fellow North Carolinian (Fantasia Barrino) on the Simpsons, though they really could have given her character more lines. Lisa is a good singer, and that guy Cameron, sounded like a woman. OK, A woman, Tress MacNeille, was doing his voice, but it was less convincing that the other voices MacNeille can do.

The Simpsons: Thank God It's Doomsday (GABF14)
This was the best of the three. Los Lobos is one of my favorite groups, and the hidden satire that made this show what it is today was hanging around. It's in there, just look carefully.

OK, Goodnight.

Hi.

I'm Jake. This is my first post. This is just an introduction for now, nothing to say.
